Based on the book by author Troy Taylor, it has been called the "most authentic" tour in the region, and after 25 years, we take you behind the scenes of the most haunted places in town.
From its earliest days, Alton has seen more than its share of death, disease, disaster, violence, murder, and even the scars of the Civil War. Today, come see how the events of the past have created the hauntings of what is now being called "one of the most haunted small towns in America." Our tour is an entertaining, often spine-tingling trip back in time to discover the true story of why our little town has become so haunted over the years!
Offered during the Halloween season, the award-winning bus tour is a 3-hour ghost experience that explores haunted places throughout Alton, going behind the walls of different locations during the tour and visiting locations that you CAN’T see during our walking tour!
The bus tours are conducted via motorcoach, and we do get off the bus throughout the evening so guests can experience locations first-hand. The bus does have restroom facilities on board.
What’s the AGE LIMIT for the tour?
We prefer to have children 10 and older on the tours, but we do leave it up to the parents if there are younger children with an interest. However, we are unable to allow toddlers, infants, or babies in strollers on the tours.
